I added a 70's EKO C-33 (made in Italy) to my gear list. It's a nice solid guitar, bit on the heavy side, but very nice. Good workmanship and in great condition for a oldie. Not sure of the exact date, can't find a serial number. (I'll let them check it when I take it for a setup, the action is a bit on the high side and the pots are a bit scratchy). But for the money I'd say, BARGAIN!.

Please let me know if you have any more info on these guitars, I'd love to find out more about them.

Hey CDee......looks absolutely in excellent condition for a second hand guitar!!! Even the case looks new!!

Nice on CDee! I guess with nice pups - what's in there now? - new pots and a setup it will be great guitar. Also curious to hear what it sounds like. It certainly looks good!

@Riaan - It still has the standard pick-ups in there. I gave the pots a bit of a clean with some "spook piepie" and the scratching is gone. I'll be looking at upgrading pups soon 8)

@Manny - Yip that's a great idea, wood would look great for knobs.

I found some specs on the guitar (for those interested):
- Maple solid body 42mm thick subjected to natural seasoning and strain tests.
- Laminated neck of same material (absolutely no twisting)
- Indian rosewood (of high consistency) fingerboard. 42mm at nut, 52mm at 12th fret

Took it in for a setup. Action is a bit on the high side. Also checking to replace the pots and switch.

Damn, so that was you that I was bidding against on Bid or Buy! I was willing to go up to R1250, then R1500, and even though the wife said go for it (I almost fainted), I gave up once it was past R1600. For interests sake, how much higher would you have gone?

But after getting the guitar, I would go to R2500 easily. It's a great guitar!

Wow, R1600.....awesome.....well done CDee.......it would be nice to see the thing first, it helps to decide how high one would go.......Can't say I have the same patience.... ? ?
