Sorry, posted this elsewhere........ have'nt listened to the CD yet....but.....

Hey Keira.......took a listen to a few of your pieces........wow mama ?..........your version of "Take Five", one of my dad's favourites that I grew up listening to (he was a jazz fanatic) by Dave Brubeck, is very impressive.......I'm not really into Flamenco but I can appreciate a great musician when I hear one.......well done and good luck with your album...... ?

oh i was on TV ..... i'm not aware of anything i worked on being shown at moment ???? i know i'm all over you tube ..........

what did you see...i'm surprised.... but lots of my material is out there ........

as for cd's i have a cd i recorded live available direct from me at shows .......... i can always mail one to you .........

i'm still not convinced it was me......... was the other muso a percussionist or a bassist ....... those are the only muso's i've played with live other than my jazz singer and of course auriol hays too ......i'm just not wanting you to think it was me and it wasn't hehehehh

i did do a show with amazing bassist glenne veale but we did just 2 shows together ........ other than that it would have to be my percussionists....... cos in reality i can't remember working with any guitarists here in jhb .... my style does not lend to playing with other guitarists.....or even bassists thats why the collaboration with glenn was so short he was amazing but i play bass line regardless....

lol this is confusing me too.... but i seriously don't know anyone elsearound who plays the same kinda off centre percussive guitar like me ...and i know most of the acoustic players in jhb ..... but hey yeah maybe a twin be cool to do an over the top guitar set with her then........ heheheh and i truly can't remember ever doing a gig with another guitarist .... but then there's a lot i don't remember hehehh maybe some live jam i've had up here made it to tv ... but i'm sceptical anyway

i'll keep my ears open for someone doing a similar style...... now you have perked my interest

Hehehe... Flames, I think you might be confusing Keira with Gabrielle from Rodrigo y Gabrielle. There were quite a few schedule filling clips of them on Sabc 3 around April/May. Their styles are similar, but Keira has a few more things going on while she plays. Check out some of the clips on Youtube.

hello squonk ......... you will fall on your back when i tell you that is my yamaha cgx i'm playing in the video..... and the truth is that the pawn shop specials...i now have two of them a both G series yamaha's a 30 yr old and a 40 yr old... the 40 yr old yamaha is in my profile pic and now my main guitar .... but both sound better in tone to the one in the video....yep and radically so......the 40 year old now has a LR baggs ibeam system in it and uses the preamp i bought from you ...(thanks again for that) very workable tone and better than the video.......... but that old CGX has seen the world and has given great service.........but now it's pensioned off....and got a place on my wall ...
