Emi speakers in SA ?

Hey there guys ! Is there anyone in SA that stock Emi drivers in this country ! You know, this brand : http://www.eminence.com/guitar.asp?speaker_size=12 I can bring it in with my next trip to the US, but it is a shlep i tell you ! All info very welcome guys ! Cheers

Cool I was seriesly considering a Rajin Cajin and Ramrod combo for my Deluxe build.

Supposed to be a good combo, but I went with 2 Legends instead .. mainly due to price ☹

Googles site called ADAM HALL in U.K.

They seem to be associated with Eminence.

I am looking to bring in a emi820H .

They put me onto a company in Jhb, but in typicalnSouth African style when I contacted them they were useless and messed me around.

Smegma more like it.. .. Emailed em a week ago and would u believe I am still awaiting a reply.....too hell with em....

Did some naaaa a lot of research , gonna go with a Jensen now as the emi's are unobtanium ,Jensen ticks all the boxes too.

Last time I contacted them, thay said they were only bringing in the PA lines and had no plans to bring in the guitar speakers. Pity - it's a good line.

i agree.. especially since my dream 2x12 cab would be the EJ1250's.

If you check out their website they market the Palmer range of amps and Cabs loaded with Celestions or Emi.

Just received a mail from Segma and yes they are going to start importing guitar amp speakers ...first shipment due in April and music connection is the store to go to apparently.

Rajun Cajun will retail at 1300 as a matter of interest, it's around 75 dollars in the us so after discount will be around a grand. ( my thoughts)

But looking at the prices . . . OUCH.

From $75.00 to +/- R1000.00 (street)
If my calulation is correct, that will be +/- R4000.00 for four drivers, and that is before you add a cab.

Why can i not be involved with CHEAP 'past time' activities.

Everything i do is expensive.

Yes they were recommended d by Adam Hall but turned out to be less than useless.

First they didn't know about my speaker that I wanted.

Then they told me that I didn't know what was talking about!

If there are enough of us we should pool together and bring in what we need and share the postage.

I am really tired of getting ripped off on top of awful service from South African retailers.

Found a great place in the States that has shipped out my speaker at a fantastic price (speaker was $69.95 and they charged me $48 to ship).

I can guarantee that when Smegma wake up that it will be much more than that here!
