Hi Witblitz
Welcome to the forum. You'll certainly learn alot by just logging on ?
We've got majority of the forum that stays in CPT. I'm sure there are a few guys who'll be willing..

I'm busy teaching a dude in Durbanville and so far it seems he is making good progress. ?
I'm not a qualified music teacher and there will surely be others on this forum who indeed have proper teaching methods, however I do have years of experience and have taught and inspired a number of guitarists over the years. PM me for details and further arrangements. ?

Welcome fellow brackenfell guitarist, i also live in protea heights.
What style of music do you play or wanna play?
You can go to Jamrock(close to KFC), or you can go to a private teacher, but it all depends on the style of music you wanna play?

Well, at the moment I have an Classic Nylon string guitar, but as soon as I can play the basics, I'm buying an electric guitar! I would like to play Alternative/Rock music style. But for know I would just like to learn the basics and dont mind the style!!!
I got the contact details for Mario (behind KFC)... what kind of sytle does he teach? Who do you recommend? Thanks for the help fellow Protea Heights guitarist!!

Id recommend Jamrock, although it could get expensive if you stay a while, best way is to practice hard and absorb as much info as you can to make it worth while. the 3 teachers that i know of is mario, tian and christo, if think christo also do the classical guitar thing, if you wanna give him a go.
You could also go to music mate and ask them for any contacts.
there is also alot of guitar teachers advertising in the "musician/artists" section on gumtree that is in the northern suburbs.
I have some chord sheets at home if you want any?

My own teaching is basic guitaring introduction, and the emphasis is on learning the fundamentals without the cost of advanced teaching. I encourage anyone after a few lessons to go and pay for advanced guitaring lessons, as soon as they themselves feel confident enough.
Initially some people might even have difficulty tuning their instruments and I offer simple solutions and reasonable rates.
I also have years of blues/rock experience and the ability to inspire. ?

Thanks for all the help guys... I started taking lessons at JamRock (Christo) next to Brackenfell Action Cricket.
