Slide guitar

Hi

Whats the best setup for a slide guitar? Some say high action is best? Also this has to be on a guitar where you dont mind some fret wear and tear right? Watching lots of movies with slide in lately and its some good stuff to know.

If i built a partcaster tele type guitar? What would be the changes that will make this easier/better. Smaller frets?

Will you only be sliding or will you also fret the occasional note here and there?

Higher action is always better on slide guitar. Is should also give you better tone

Yea baby! Now ur talking my language! Once you are good enough at slide, you won't really be touching the frets, so don't worry about fret wear too much.

I have raised the action on mine quite a bit, but I don't fret notes at all, my Tele is a dedicated slide machine.
