After clowning around for 6 months with a beginers electric, 10W amp and a Zoom G1, I finally took the plunge and went shopping.
With the lovely wife's permission of course! Just gotta make sure she doesn't see the credit card statement ?

So I got myself an ESP KH-203 and a Line6 Spider3 75 combo amp, I'm totally enjoying all the presets and I'm a very happy camper at the moment, even find myself racing home after work so I can get in a few extra minutes practice!

Yes, the sweet smell of a new guitar. I agree, there are few things that bring joy to a player like new gear. Now if only my Box of Rock would hurry up and get here ☹

Unusual headstock. If it didn't have the locking nut, the outer strings rubbing on the next tuner posts would be a problem, as would the angle through the nut. Luckily it does have a lock nut - so I don't know why I even mentioned it (other than to make myself sound knowledgeable). ?
