All that shipping might explain the ridiculous price! But ja, what a chancer to be selling those with that description. Borderline fraud imo.

Yeah, I asked them for a quote on getting an Epiphone Nighthawk for me from the states a while ago - they would have charged R7500, almost double what it would cost if I got it myself... this is what I replied to them after they came back saying that they get preferential rates from customs

"Even so, R3308.67 for the guitar as compared to R5439.38 and R508.95 for
shipping compared to R1499.99 are significant differences. The last guitar I
imported cost me about R250 in duties, so even if that was increased tenfold
it would be cheaper to do it myself."

I've seen people advertise "elektriek ghitaars" like the "Les Poul" a few times. The biggest classified fail I've had to date was when someone tried to sell me a "Vintage Fender Strat" that turned out to be a very bad copy with "Fender" painted on the headstock. In silver paint. ???
