my life to take away my inheritance which my late father
left for me in a suspense account in one of the prime bank
here in Abidjan ,that he used my name as his only
Daughter for the next of Kin in depositing of the fund.
here in Abidjan Cote'd'Ivoire. My entire dream is to find
somebody that I can trust with my life and inheritance and
also able to invest it wise in lucrative business.
Nobody knows about the inheritance which worth
($2.700,000) dollars in Cash deposited in a Bank here And
I want you to also keep it very confidential till we can
be able to claim the fund so that I will fly to join you
immediately for future plans.
I have to trust somebody to save my future and that is why
I am trusting you now I want you to understand my critical
situation and give me the love and assistance that I need
now so that I will have a better life and also enjoy my

I nearly wet myself laughing. Is there anyway to report them? Where do they find your mail adress? This is really so so lame and it is annoying. Anyone else have had the same experience?

these are so common , just delete the bloody things and move on , i must receive about 6 of these a month , all with the same M/O

Check http://www.419eater.com/ for a site where they lead these scammers on and get them to do wacky stuff in the hopes they will get some money, hilarious stuff. (Follow the "Hall Of Fame" link).

I have won the Chinese, Japanese, "Toyota sponsored", Nigerian, Australian and a few other lottos already... I can even recall winning 3 lottos in one week!!!

Yes we can laugh about it...

Sad thing is alot of people actually fall into the trap and loose vast somes of money, they prey on desperate people...

There have even been stories of people who have lost their lives due to scams... That's usually got to do with drugs

It's a sad world we live in sometimes.

I got an email today telling me that I had won 1 000 000 pounds in the British online lottery! Quite amazing considering that im not british and I didn,t buy a ticket. They claimed to be a division of the British telecom company. I entered the name in google and the first thing that popped up was a warning for this exact lottery scam.

Its Amazing what these a-holes will do to try screw ignorant people out of their money >☹ Go to college you fools. You need the education!!!

Just had this incident with my dad:

He gets contacted for a job at a company called "Sub-sea dredging limited". They got his particulars off careerjunction.
They ask him to send a CV, so he does. They phone him for a telephonic interview seeing that their company is based Nigeria. An hour later he receives an email confirming that they decided he's the man for the job. He receives his employment contract (on letterheads the works) to fill in and forward back to them. He phones me up and tells me this. When he said the word Nigeria my stomach turned and I told him to send me the email they sent.
I went through the contract and something was off... You have to give their travel company (ACB Travels) 25% of the legal fees (according to Nigerian law) to register your work permit and visa. So that rang bells! I checked them out and it turns out its a bogus company. They state that the next step is to pay the fee asap so they can DHL the documents to you so you can start working and earning mega $ next month...

Please beware of this. This is not as obvious a scam as some others I've seen! >☹ >☹

These 419 and other schemes have been going on for quite some time. AFAIK, two South African "investors" and some Chinese nationals living and have businesses in South Africa have been murdered by these scum........JUST DELETE THEM.........

WC........just delete them and forget it, don't underestimate these guys, they are murderers who have nothing to lose! There are many Nigerians already in the country, and they don't play games!

Speaking about schemes, there are a few going around that look exactly like official ABSA, FNB and especially Standard Bank emails, asking you to "confirm" your banking details, pin details etc. The ones I've seen were adressed to specific people by name, so they were obviously well thought out.

These are all completely bogus of course, and sit very close to home, so just be on the lookout...
