That's on a different, earlier album. I bought her most recent album, and I understand there's been some controversy around it. It's certainly not what most people would describe as "folk". I haven't followed her career, and don't have any earlier albums of hers and so I don't have the baggage or context to judge this one by or in. And I like it. It's very assured, with some great playing. And her vocal style is unmistakably derived from that of her parents.
While you're there, see if you can get hold of some Kate Rusby. It's in a similar vein, she does an awesome track called the Cobblers daughter.
Yeah, I need to find some time to pay Kate Rusby more attention. But see my remarks above, I'd doubt that anything Kate Rusby has done is in the same vein as Eliza Carthy's latest album.
