A little while back I read a bit of an interview that Guitarist mag had with a chap called Richard Durrant. His DVD, The Guitar Whisperer, was also listed in the mag with a pretty good rating. I'm not much of a classical music fan (I like it but it doesnt burn) but what interests me about this guy is his use of loopers. Apparently has about 4 of them on stage if I remember correctly. Anyway, the DVD arrived at about 20.30 last night (shame the poor Fedex oke was buggerred and running around in a pair of shorts in this weather and all). I'm very happy that I got it. The first half is pretty much what you've heard before but he does it well. The second half of the show is more the bit where he uses the effects and stuff. And then there is a little documentary where he gets all country side spiritual and all. And an interview. I also liked the look of the guitars he was playing, included a few other inrtuments (banjo). Anyway, take a look at this you might like:
