100 Ton Chicken - Chicken Shack
On the subject of keyboard players (I would luv to have one in my blues band but sadly not finding ☹ )
Way back in 1969 after the lovely Christine Perfect left Chicken Shack to join Fleetwood Mac they included a replacement by the name of Paul Raymond.
Here's a little sample of what he brought to the band... ( still one of my favourite guitarists is Stan Webb :bopping?

Terry Lee Hale and the Blind Doctors - Old Hand
Quite a strange order of songs, the first five are quite bland but the next couple are good stuff.
One of those albums, if you had listened to it in the record shop by hearing the first couple of tracks, you would have possibly not bought it.

Tribal Tech - Rocket Science
Some hectic stuff
Gary Willis is incredible on bass, Scott Henderson not too shabby either

Joan Armatrading - Into The Blues.
Santa stuck this one in my stocking. Good old Santa, I've been curious about this album for a while now and would have probably checked it out on i-Tunes in a week or so's time.
I saw Armatrading perform in Swaziland in 1990. She had a very good band behind her, but for the encores she strapped on a stratocaster and confirmed what had been hinted at on her albums for some time - she's a fine guitarist in her own right. I remember wondering why she bothered hiring a guitar player when she could clearly do the job herself.
This record puts her playing on centre stage and also acknowledges something else that had previously been hinted at but underplayed - her blues influences. She plays everything bar the drums on this album and proves herself in other roles with competent bass and organ solos. Her voice is still in great shape and her range is impressive. Compositionally it's not all straight forward blues progressions, but blues is about feeling as well, and the feeling is there, especially in her soloing.
PS: She's a Tom Anderson endorsee.

They absolutely loved it. I filled my iPod with Christmas songs from years gone by... NO Josh Grobin nor Boney-M here.
Bing Crosby, Perry Como, Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong, Dean Martin, Peggy Lee, The Andrews Sisters, Brenda Lee,
Django reinhardt And Stephane grappelli and a whole lot more. 8)
From rockin' Around The Christmas Tree and Boogie Woogie Santa Claus to Frosty The Snowman and Christmas Swing.
Recharged the battery overnight and now it's ready to run again all day.
MERRY CHRISTMAS Y'all.. Have a boogie woogie Christmas ?arty:

I still enjoy the old stuff and seldom get exited by something new, but Black Country Communion duzzit for me,
