That album has aged surprisingly well (especially compared to other grunge albums of the time), doesn't sound dated or stale.
Definitely a favourite album. Head Down +10

Been killing the new Tom Waits album.
And rediscovering St Vincent.

A more eloquent person than me wrote that the ISB "passed right through kitsch and shot out the other side into a sublime space all their own."

I like this. It sounds old. Like really old. Like it's been around for centuries. Tinariwen are tapping into something a bit more ancient than Memphis (the American one) in the 50s.

Despite my misgivens about latter day tampering it turns out this is the best Stones album of the last 30 years.

Mr Harper is a seriously good lapsteel player, but this 2nd disc is mostly just him on acoustic singing melancholy tunes. Goooood stuff. 8)

Buddy Whittington - 6 String Svengali (great tones but quite similar to his last album....)

Johnny Hiland - All Fired Up (very good guitar album - this guy is very good and this album is a step up from his last)

Bon Iver - For Emma... (this is growing on me but has taken a while as I was initially put off by sudden popularity in UK)

Vintage Trouble - Bomb Shelter sessions (good vocals and raw R&B,Blues,Rock feel)
