'Nothing else matters' - the last 4 days straight - stuck in my head - cause I had to work it out for a pupil - (the strummed beginner version).

New respect for this band - I love his voice, the harmonies, the lead breaks - it's pretty much perfect - up there next
to 'Stairway to Heaven' etc I reckon ...

I read that it was Metallica's 30th birthday on the 15th - yesterday - so there's a bit of synchronicity there too.

It's good stuff, imagine the impact when I bought it in '76 and thought "hell this is not as good as the first 3 albums", but what an album it turned out to be, creativity and kick up the bum for the mid 70's artistic dive...

UPDATE for DEE - now get hold of Queen, Queen II and Sheer Heart Attack all very good albums

Listening to "War Child" and "Heavy Horses"

The creativity of some of the songs are incredible. "Heavy Horses" is a softer offering from JT with songs about Moths, Mice and all things Pastoral.
Ian Anderson is actually a decent acoustic guitarist.

While I work I go through my iTunes making playlists all the way from A-Z (Best, Best of the Best, Chilled, Party Treffers :? etc...) I was on Crash Test Dummies yesterday (out of 25399 songs) and God Shuffled His Feet, their breakthrough, is still a fantastic album with hardly a dud track.

Today I am working through four albums from The Cribs and am currently on Ignore the Ignorant which sees Johnny Marr from the Smiths guest throughout - his mark on the album is clear to see, well, hear rather.

I didn't say it was a terrible song. I said it's the song on the record I consistently skip. Droning and maudlin.
