I know it's irrational, but I reckon we should have a thread where you can post links to guitars you want real bad, and guitars you think are just downright sexy. I'll [obviously] go first.... Its not aGibson or Epiphone but still looks good.

The whole body of the guitar is 3D printed save for the neck, fretboard, electronics, mechanics and wooden core underneath the pick-ups. Made to order with your own selection of the wood type for the core, pickups and pretty much everything else. Cost excluding shipping:

Neck: Warmoth Pro Angled maple neck with rosewood fret board, 22 frets, 25 1/2" scale, 6150 sized jumbo frets, 10-16" compound radius fret board, mother of pearl inlay dots

Nut: Earvana 1 11/16" Compensated Tuning System nut.

Body: 3D printed Duraform PA outer body, with CNC machined mahogany inner core, Dyed dark green, and sprayed with clear satin polyurethane. all gold hardware.

Bridge: Schaller 475, 6 String Flat Mount roller Bridge, Gold

Pickups: Neck: Seymour Duncan Jazz SH2, Bridge: Seymour Duncan JB model SH4 (Seymour Duncan's favorite pickup combination).

Tuning heads: Schaller Mini Locking Tuners, Gold

Controls: Pickup select switch, 2 x Volume knob, 2 x Tone knob

Nice job on the Peavey, looks awesome. Trouble is I want that 3D element in the body, it actually has spinning little atom thingies inside and lots of wonderful little details if you look closer at the pictures of the red one. I thought of taking my own design to a 3D printing place but they don't have one that can print that large here in SA. Even the New Zealand based manufacturer (ODD) sends his designs off to the US because they don't have a printer big enough to do it there either.

They really are, but expect those prices will come down once the whole 3D printing thing isnt such a novelty, and copies of them start cropping up. And the tone on them is not that great really. check out the video here

I want it more as a show-off piece really. If my audience doesn't remeber me for my above average (but always improving) guitar playing, they sure as hell will remeber that guitar. Im thinking of light-handedly sticking some LED's inside there as well :yup:

You should see some of the basses Jens Ritter makes, a bit strange looking but no doubt excellently crafted.
