BMU dee wrote Continuing my current obsession with Tele's, here is a lovely shot of the new Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster Custom. I foresee this guitar making a lot of people on a budget quite happy. Double bound goodness on a budget ? Damn. That thing actually looks -real- good to me. On a budget you say? Let me go gouge my eyes out before this gets out of hand. I certainly have enough eye gouging tools lying around.

dee Two guitars built from Warmoth parts. The words describing how awesome the black one is are probably not allowed on a family forum like this.

Bob-Dubery I don't know if this serious pron or not, but it floats my boat.... This is by Toronto luthier Joseph Yanuziello. I like the retro looks and also the way that it reminds you of various things without being imitative. EG Danelectro.
[deleted] This amazing instrument was custom made for Dream Guitars owner Paul Heumiller. Three years in the making, this is truly Paul's Dream Guitar. Paul and Ervin designed this guitar to fit Paul's playing style which includes many alternate tunings ranging from Low C tunings to Standard and many genres from Blues to Slow Airs. To accomplish this there are many custom features on this guitar. First it's a 000 body with a 12 fret neck as Paul wanted all the sweet tone and energy you get from the 12 fret bridge placement. They added a cutaway to give back access to the higher frets. A fan fret was employed with a 26" bass scale, to handle tuning down to D or C, and 25" treble scale, for easy tension up high and a fat sound. The asymmetrical neck shape was borrowed from Alan Beardsell and has a bit more mass on the treble side than on the bass so it's fits the hand well, and creates a pseudo soft V. The woods used were a very fine, old set of Brazilian Rosewood that tapped like slate and Paul's preferred Bearclaw Sitka Spruce full of silking. Great Sitka has the combination of warmth, power and overtones Paul likes for his music. The guitar was completed with a set of handmade Rodgers tuners from England and last but not least a hand carved rosette in a Celtic motif. Nobody carves like Ervin does....
singemonkey Great looking guitar. Pity about the hideous headstock. MIKA's eyes would water just looking at it. It should have some kind of safety warning attached.
Wizard I don't know about you all, but that headstock looks like a hand giving the proverbial finger ...
singemonkey That's kind of awful ? Is it a Bigsby? It's got that '40s/'50s Bigsby tailpiece on it. But the body and neck don't look like a Bigsby.
Bob-Dubery It's made by a company named "Spalt". They call it an "Esquire de Luxe". I suppose it's more "pron on a guitar" than "guitar pron".
