Here's some acoustic pron for you. This is British luthier Nick Benjamin's 100th guitar. He wanted something a little special for this landmark guitar.
This has is innovative "scoop" in place of a more usual cutaway. He says he went this route because his research shows that in the area that is usually cut away the TOP of the guitar is pretty dead but the back is still working, so there is less compromising of tone doing it this way.
This guitar has an Alpine Spuce top, Cocobolo back and sides, and ebony for the bindings and the scoop.
It's not very obvious from the photos, but this guitar has a
Manzer Wedge.
