This weeks challenge was:
I was thinking along the idea of music for an advert. The kind of thing we may end up having to do exactly to spec for money. Must suit the product and be EXACTLY one minute long. The graphics are a woman twilling through a field of flowers with her hair flouncing around her (as these ads thend to do). :D Attention must be given to the fadeout at the end - a quick fade, no sudden stops or abrupt cutoffs (as I've noticed with many entries lately. Product? Hmmm... a new shampoo and conditioner?
And here are the entries
Here's my entry - beginners category, the filename is B.RiaanDuvenage.100609.ShampooAd.mp3. Four tracks, a piano-ish kind of pad on Dimension Pro, nylon string acoustic, steelstring acoustic and clean electric, all done in Sonar 8 and Guitar Rig. Don't know if it will sell shampoo...but here goes: http://www.box.net/shared/hc7ofx5dpf

This was really challenging! I just managed to get mine done late last night! Better something than nothing! I have stuck with just using a guitar as this is a guitarforum after all :) Used an Ibanez SA08LTD through a Zoom G2.1U Here it is http://gfsa.s3.amazonaws.com/581/Shampooooo%20Add.mp3 Beginner Category for me

http://gfsa.s3.amazonaws.com/298/Squonk%20-%20Look%20at%20my%20Hair.mp3 This is the second piece from "The Grand Parade of Sleepless Hamsters". Takamine , effected with alternate tuning. Could sell Hamster hair products!

Well, it's LAME, but I guess that doesn't matter since it's a shampoo advert. I used the flute which is pretty close to a pan pipe WAH HA HA. http://www.box.net/shared/09czs8uyke

Here's my entry for the competition. http://www.box.net/shared/cvorxhmey0 Seeing as I couldn't get the recording story working with GR3 and GTR I decided to replicate the effect as near as possible on the 505II. Lead, Hondo LP: neck bucker with a delay / chorus patch on the 505II - stereo'd and inverted. Bass, Hondo LP: neck bucker with a cleaner, EQ'd patch on the 505II - stereo'd and inverted. Drums, Hydrogen: First time using hydrogen and with a little more time I'll be able to come up with a nice drum sound. Starts slow and simple allowing for VOs and product description breaking out into a more up beat, inspiring riff for the final feel good factor and glam shots.

"Shampoo Ad I guess" Baja Tele Back in Action Hypersonic Bass Battery 3 Drums with Studio Reverb "RoomSnare" Patch http://www.box.net/shared/dfn2lk6lfn
You have 2 votes 1 for each category Beginner and er... unspecified. Voting ends noon next Thursday 25th. (old forum) Poll Results: Shampoo ? Riaan (B): 14 Mattayou (B): 3 Squonk: 2 Viccy: 9 Spyke: 2 Andrewjbryson: 9

When I read that I automatically took it to mean a new guitar. I think this site is getting to me.
