did the high tensions take the neck off....????????? what guitar was it...cos the only guitars i know that it will do that to are very rare and old guitars that might be smaller in size
I take it that you have little experience of the 1/2 and 3/4 size cheapies that flood the market come Xmas time? Truly cheaply made. The only thing I find surprising is that the neck came loose before the bridge (the bridges are usually glued to the top after it's been finished, the finish pulls loose and the bridge comes flying off) - must be one of the rare ones that uses two bolts to bolt the bridge to the top.

The guy at the music shop had it wrong. He told me that I should use the high tension strings as they will better handle the higher tuning on the baby spanish. The neck broke off the body after a few weeks ☹
Try demand a repair/replacement from the store. You never know. At least let them know they messed up and you are extremely unhappy.
Y'see? Music store flunkies that make shit up or guess if they don't know the answer (then I get complaints if we out them as idiots in a thread).
At least it is a cheapo spanish, easy to fix ?
Ironically I find the cheaper guitars are often harder to fix than the well-made ones.
