govendl3 Hi there I have been in contact with a guy that is selling his MIM strat Price seems decent and I have been seriously thinking of taking the long drive to him to check it out. So in the interin I asked for some pics which he sent to my phine yesterday. i noticed that the silve metal thing with the 4 screws that bolts the neck to the body did not have the fender logo on it unlike all the others I have ever seen. Is this normal. I am at the moment trying to get the serial num to check the specs of the guitar. Will post the serial when I get it Thanks
aubs1 The neck-plate at the back of the MIM's don't have the "F" logo....so don't worry too much....check out a thread I posted some time ago... or just go to the following site, will give you all the details and diffs..............MIA vs MIM...... http://www.shrublands.com/strat/
nick correct, my MiM didnt have the Fender F plate on the back, I bought an original one from ebay and replaced it though ?
