VST Plugins

I'm looking for good VST plugins for cubase LE:

Grand Piano, Bass Guitar and Keyboard.

I need one's you can fiddle around with. The 4frontmanPiano & Bass are freeware and what I'm trying to use now, but you cant customize them. You can't even change the EQ or add reverb.

Anyone know any good freeware one's (since I like free stuff ?) If there aren't freeware then advice on shareware ones will be appreciated.

I'm not sure if it suits your need but you could try Edirol Super Quartet - one VST for piano, drums, bass and guitar (in that order of sonic accuracy). There's so many synth plugins out there from simple to crazy it's hard to pinpoint which one will be to your liking. Which real life synth do you like?

Sorry if I wasn't more specific. I don't know much about Bass, except that I'm looking for a sort of pop, funk bass, since the bass in those types of genres standsout alot more than in regular rock. Basically a standard but very strong sounding bass would be good.

+1 on Edirol Super Quartet. Great synth. It only has guitar, bass drums and keys and doesn't have a lot of variation, but the ones it has are good - a lot better than any GM sounds. Unfortunately not freeware though.

I've tried a lot of pianos and nothing freeware has really impressed me - in fact few commercial piano have either. I've mostly been using the big piano sample libraries since Gigasampler came out (although I've since converted them all to Kontakt format).

I got it on the CD with a computer music magazine, haven't tried it yet though.

I've tried both 4frontpiano and mda ( http://www.pluginspot.com/documents/30.html ), which are both very popular and light on system resources. Neither worked for me, but are worth a try anyway. VSTi's are nice in that they are one file and install/uninstall is easy.
