Is it better than guitar pro? Is it just a free alternative? There is also powertab which is similar to guitar pro which is also free! ?

Attila

To the best of My knowledge GP is Not free and I dont know Powertab

The thing that irked me is that GP needs a lot of horse power to run RSE with multiple instruments also needs to connect to a midi controller. And you cant change the code if you want to

Me I like options ....open source software give me that. You will find that the author will bring about changes for you, Assuming its a good Idea , Have you tried asking Mirosoft of GP to change something latley ......Bzzzzzzz thought not ?

GuitarPro is not free, so that is not a option for my open source life ?

TuxGuitar is realy cool, and I think it is better than power tab.

To get TuxGuitar is easy:
Login as root on your debian based system and type:
apt-get install tuxguitar

Have fun!
