This is my beloved guitar, the Takamine GB-7C Garth Brooks signature: :woohoo:
It has a beautiful solid ceder top that is covered in an extremely thin practically nonexistent layer of lacquer, with no pickguard at all. Apparently this is to get the best possible tone. The wood looks like it is freshly cut, as though it could grow again if I stuck it in the ground. I worked my ass off for a year to buy this guitar. ?
Now, when friends come over to jam I cringe when they start shredding away on my virgin wood guitar like they are in a fight to the death during an intense Tekken III battle where the pick is the punch button and the guitar is the enemy. >☹
What can I use or buy to protect the finish, that is non-permanent? (short of replacing all my picks with tiny feather-dusters!) Like a sticker or something? Also considering the unusual dreadnought shaped sound hole, off the shelf products probably won't work. :-\
