I don't know why Alan did not mention his own book that will come out sometime this year, I reckon we will enjoy that one too.
In addition to what can be found in the books Alan mentioned, I recommend looking for Bahco/Sandvik scrapers, they're super. Apart form the small one

you get 2 larger flatter ones. The good part is that the blade is seriously hard and will allow you to strip down to the bare wood without too much sweat (ask Spyke about stripping guitars ? ). most paint will go brittle or soft when you heat it a bit with (how do you call those in English?) one of those oversized overpowered hair dryers.
Getting the frets out without tear outs in the fretboard is going to be your biggest challenge. Have a look at the StewMac solution, go and buy a nipper and grind the top off like they did ?
You might also want to consider upgrading your nut. A bit of googling tells me the TS-300 has a 'plastic' nut, bone would probably improve tone and since you don't have a tremolo it's slippery enough.
