Having the two channels adds a lot of value imho, even more so if you can get the one channel of the DeVille to sound like the Bassman. The SS rectification would count seriously against this amp though, unless you get at least a sag citcuit to get the spongy response (preferrable switchable).
The tubes that are in the amp don't matter so much since you will replace them over time. The 12AX7s are so easy to come by and come in so many varieties that it's almost irrelevant that they 'improved' them (what did they improve??).

Can't compare them but heard a 79 Tele with humbuckers through a DeVille 4x10 at Music Connection.

It was as sweet as honey to my ears. Tone to cry / die for. ? ? ? ?

Great amp tho. A friend of mine has a DeVille and his father redid the tone circuit, tweaked it here and there. put in a vintage celestion speaker. WOW... Impresses me so much. Wish they came out like that standard ?

I just sold my Bassman 50. Made sometime in the 70's and although it was the silveface had a tone that would give cast iron goosebumps.

It had the bass and guitar channel, no lead channels at all. just pure sweetness. Mine was the stack though and The 59 reissue is a single unit. I just watched their demo videos and it does sound good, but youtube wont do it justice.

Bassman all the way. what style do you play?

A friend of mine has a the Reissue Bassman, and Super Reverb.. and he doesn't like the way the Bassman takes pedals. I would take the Bassman anyday if I was after a clean ONLY sound...

Maybe try both, with your guitar and your pedals... and then make a decision. I think the two are completely different amps ?
