Which Les Paul has a maple fingerboard?

I played on one the other day, and it has a pretty unique sound, kind of like country shredding meets hard rock.

You could order a blank (no frets, no dot markers) from www.lmii.com.

If you wanted a complete board you'd have to get it from gibson or epiphone or get somebody to make one up for you.

+1 for LMII. They'll slot it for you too. You just do the final shaping, fretting and dressing.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the ZW also have a maple neck? That makes more difference than just a board alone.

I've always liked what ebony boards bring to the table with a mahogany necked Les Paul.

That's cool then. I am looking at building my own Tele pretty soon from random parts. Not so keen to do all the woodwork tho ? So i'm looking at getting the best parts I can get my hands on and putting it together.

What project specifically? Very interested to hear and see what you going to be doing.

alright, so i bought a les paul replica off ebay for 1 pound, lol i was the only bidder.

I am planning on doing a white paint job with blood splatter. like dan jacobs signature LTD.
I am also going to be incorporating my family crest on the headstock where a logo would be and on the back of the body.
As for hardware, its going to be all black, with seymour duncun blackouts for pickups.
Pretty simple idea but i think it would be very effective.

no i dnt.
i havent received it yet so dnt know how it play, but the guy who out me into it, says his plays just like a Gibson, which is hard to believe

one pound? and are you in the UK? that sounds like a fine idea if shipping doesnt cost too much.

@ Alan - yes, the Zakk Wylde Les Pauls (Gibson and Eip) all use maple necks but only the camo bullseye has a maple fingerboard. The bullseye and buzzsaw have rosewood 'boards (although the Gibson bullseye may be ebony)?

I agree with the ebony fingerboard on a mahogany Gibson neck vibe - very tasty, and looks lovely too. I once played a Fender Deluxe Tele in Rockers (London) which had a quilt or flame maple top, hardtail, twin Fender 'buckers (Enforcers?) & S1 switch, and an ebony 'board with abalone dot markers. Lovely guitar. Not traditional Tele, not Les Paul tone, just different in a very good way and the ebony fingerboard was as smooth as silk to play. Would have bought it if I'd had the cash.
