Constant term used on car forums is to call someone a 530d when you don't want to trigger the nanny filters.

it's one reason why i'll NEVER buy THAT particular model of BMW.. but then again I'll never buy a BMW.. AUDI!! But that joke has been umongst my friends for a while, and one guy I know actualy drives a 530, and he got ripped off so badly that he sold it!

If the diesel is a 530d ... shouldn't the petrol version be a 530p ?

Probably cause cars are usually either petrol or diesel, so if you mark one. no need to mark the other...In the long run will probably save them a stack of cash because they don't have to produce a few millions "p's" for the back of the car. And I'm pretty sure they could buy a few '57 re-issue Strats and a few PRS McCartny's with that cash. Maybe even a nice vintage AC30. ? ?

That would only be effective if they fitted a, I dunno, 5liter motor and labeled it the 500p... ?

I'm really Jonesing for a ambigram tattoo now... eek. I have two or three possible candidates, but it has to be placed where you can turn it around. Arm or leg... Not sure if I'm ready for sleeves.
