Graeme Here are my latest ramblings. Not so much about music, but have a look anyway ? The Soul of Retail: http://africanabc.blogspot.com/2009/05/soul-of-retail.html
Squonk Good stuff Graeme I used to live at Hillbrow records. I knew Lenny (i think his name was) and Mark (could have been Harris) and the sale bins at the back were brilliant. We noticed many years earlier that if you placed an order for an obscure artist (Import) and didn't collect it, it would make it's way to the sale bin for a fraction of the cost. Didn't Lenny start CD Warehouse eventually?
Graeme Ja Lenny did open CD Warehouse, which was eventually bought by Musica. Wish I'd known about your trick of ordering and not collecting! Could have made good use of that!
