My friend's song - Recorded on my BOSS BR600

Hey everyone

Here's a song that was written by a friend of mine, him and I spent a saturday morning putting this together. I'd love to know what u all think and I would love some recording tips and insights.

The bass may sound a little horrible cuz we used my electric guitar into the bass modeler on the BR600.

Pretty damn good!

My only serious complaint is all the noise. There's a lot of hiss from something and a lot of player noise - mostly breathing and finger squeak. I also think I can hear lips parting at one point (maybe a bit too much compression on the mics?).

Smaller things: The bass is fine actually, it's blending in well. The drum sounds are a bit lacking, especially the ride cymbal near the end, which has a LOT of hiss in the decay.

Otherwise, it's all good, arrangement and execution are great.

Thanks for the feedback Alan... I think the hissing was from the mic setting, it was way too sensitive. He was sniffing a bit cuz he had a cold LOL ? . The drums were done with the onboard drum sounds so they are not 100%.
