New(old) Squier Tele

I went 6 months without spending any money on GAS, but i tought i'd treat myself.

So i found a really old vintage looking squier tele for R1200!!!!

I just finished doing a setup and installing copper foil into the cavaties.
I might be replaceing the pickups, so still trying to figure out what i want.

It plays really nice, i compared it to some fender tele's at my local guitar shop, and this one kicks ass, except for the pickups dough.

Yip, saw the add on gumtree on tuesday, so i kind of changed my mind in a split second.

I have inserted the copper foil for the shielding.

I want to get a new bridge pickup, i thinking along the route of a humbucker tele pickup that i can also switch to a single coil if i want to.
I have tried the seymour duncan hot rails before, but with a maple fretboard it is a pretty hot output, actually to hot.

So i am looking for some humbucker that will work fine with a maple fretboard.
MAby the seymour duncan lead stack?

I'm also looking into Dimarzio, their prices seem pretty good.

I got it from stewmac.com

Basically blocks out EMI(Electro magnetic interferance).

Just get a good cable that is already shielded inside, strange my power cables for my pedals is all over the place crosstalking with audio cables and i have no problem with interferance.

I know I'm hijacking now... BUT :sorry:

i have connected audio cables to a neutric jack, so there are stripped wires near to my power wires.
I'm going to heatshrink them, but AFAIK that won't help with interference.

The power distro on your pedal board would/should be regulated DC (direct current).
This is why there is no interference.

The only thing to watch out for is if any of your pedals uses low voltage AC (such as the Seymour Duncan Twin Tube). Here you need to route the power away from the audio leads to reduce the chance of hum.

The use of high quality pedal leads also makes a difference.
