The Huminator: very easy to build!!!!!

It removes Hum from your Ac/Dc power adaptor, cleaing it up with 2 capacitors and 1 resistor.
It is super easy to build, and would recommend it to newbies.

assuming that you already have GOOD cables and a GOOD power supply, it dont make that much difference, although it makes a diffence on those hi gain pedals.

Could you use this design for other audio equipment as well? And on laptop chargers? My girlfriends mom uses her laptop to play music through a PA system and the charger makes loud hissing noises through the PA. Then we always plug it out but then forget about it and the battery dies ☹

Dont think it will work on a laptop power supply, it is designed for a 9V DC signal.

Nick, that is a great idea.
The LED and the 3.3kOHM resistor can be taken out(depends if you want a led showing that there is power)

But if you work carefully it can fit on a 20mm x 20mm veroboard, that would easily fit in the power supply box.

I just tested it out on a friends noisy pedal, and removes about 95% of the hum from a acdc adaptor.

Yep will work just fine - just make sure your caps are rated for a higher voltage than the supply and adjust the LED resistor to suit the voltage.

the hum problem with the laptop is a common problem , either remove the earth from the PA , or get a cable for the lappie PSU with a earth wire , either way will work , most people just remove the earth wire from the pa .
