Group sessions - beginners learning to play

As most (or many) people pick up the guitar in the hope of taking an on line course and learning to play - these same people often realize that there is a need for interaction with other such students in an effort to encourage and assist one another in keeping at it and getting better.
To this end, my enquiry / question is:

are there any such groups on this forum (in Gauteng) and, if not,
Would there be an interest in starting such a group?

There is/was a rare jam session organized in Gauteng - but not a regular learning group. There is a GuitarTalk whatsapp group running (for general chat) where you might find a few willing particpants. Most of the members are based in Gauteng - PM me for a whatsapp invite if that interests you.
