notMozart101 Actually free piano's are possible because of the hassle (and cost) of moving them. Keep a eye on gumtree/facebook marketplace.
But if you don't know 3 strong friends and someone with a bakkie...a electronic keyboard can suffice. R2500 might just get you a 2nd hand yamaha, but I very much doubt you'll find one semi weighted/weighted keys at that price.
A midi controller style can also work, but it needs a computer to make noise - likely means you'll use it less. YMMV.
