hello all most of you have seen the pics and read the posts about the last get together ...
we had 5 members there , Bob , Neps, spyke, blues addict and myself Keira everyone performed and this time i hope to have more jhb people coming along.
it's a very friendly relaxed atmosphere, and
NO COUVERT charge .... the number of songs you allowed to perform will depend on the attendance and the number of people wanting to perform... but ussually 3 songs is about the average... you can do just one if you like but not more than the decided number on the night ...drinks are cheap and pub fare is available (pizza/burgers ect )
the stage is large enough to accomodate a drummer but if you decide as tailon might to bring a drummer please contact me (keira witherkay) to arrange a set up time.... and if more than one person wants to use a drummer we might have to work out something that the drummers share one kit...as changeover time between artists is not sufficient to accomodate a drummer setting up from fresh....
any setups by drummers need to be done early at about 7 ish .... please contact me to arrange it ......
i encourage all musicians to come...
the other bonus of this open mic is that i have organised for a
guest set by Ryan from UK band Mann Friday who have been one of the international acts at splashy fenn and then toured jhb /dbn and ct ... he says he will perform solo to promote his new cd....
so international act at NO COUVERT CHARGE .... how cool is that

Open Mic @ Jonathan’s Wednesday 29th April (directions below)
Jonathans is now hosting regular open mic nights hosted by world/jazz guitarist & percussionist Keira WitherKay
The amount of songs played will depend on how busy the night is.... but at least 2 and not more than 4 ....
also you would have to bring your own Guitar/keyboard a PA will be available and one microphone.... if you require more you must bring it along with any cables...

also a band /artist will perform after the open mic session

GET ONTO THE N1 AND HEAD TOWARDS JHB IF YOU FROM THE PTA SIDE OF MIDRAND OR GET ONTO THE M1 IF YOU COMING FROM THE JHB SIDE OF MIDRAND AND HEAD TOWARDS PTA .... (BASICALLY THE SAME ROAD)JUST NAME CHANGES AT ONE POINT )
from both jhb and pta sides ....Take the woodmead offramp turn ..
left if you from pta side till you get to the T junction with Old Pretoria/jhb road ,
or turn Right if you from jhb side till you hit the T junction with old pta/jhb road
turn left into old pta/jhb road at next set of robots you turn right into Gibson.
At the circle keep left, it becomes Buccleuch drive and you will see the shopping center on your right hand side opposite a petrol garage, turn into the parking lot and jonathans is in the top corner next to the spar.
