Someone posted a link to an Ibanez old promo material website; search the forum, follow the link, find 1987 and you can see for yourself in 2 mins. Edge trem + lock nut, HSS, carved top, should be top of the line model. Looks better than my RS525...

I own a S540 Ibanez. Looks very similar, but mine was manufactured in '91 and it has the Custom Shop inlay on the 21st fret. Only difference I could see, but it looks as if it could be modded (the switches under the volume and tone dials). I'm not interested in buying, I love my guitar. Just posted it, cause that's a beautiful guitar
