Before I forget.. I was VERY glad not to go on after Keira's 'ice breaker', if I didn't say it last night, then let me say it here.. Good Grief!! You can PLAY!! I think I had to pick up my jaw from the ground during your set.
And jip, I can vouch that Bobs chorus didn't bug out last night. That Morgan sounds AWESOME! The Taylor was also sounding like a beast of beauty!!
Making us CT guys jealous we couldn't be there. Sounds like a lot of fun! And kudos to you Neps for leaving the sticks at home and getting up there. Same goes to Spyke et al!

hey Bob .... the DI box just allows me to run a balanced signal to my mixing desk.... which means better sound by a huge margin ......
so the unbalanced guitar line then becomes a match to the input on the desk...
if you in any studio or major concert stage ...you will find every unbalanced line in will go through a DI box (abbreviation DI = Direct Injection)
they not too expensive around a grand for a good one.... i'm sure LR baggs will even make one...i use the industry standard Boss DI....and never have probs with it .... so whenever you perform direct into a PA use one your sound will be untainted by an unbalanced line in ...
Keira, or anyone out there, stupid question time!
I run my guitar through a Boss GT6 multiFX into the mixer. I've always understood that the GT6 acts as a pre-amp, and thus helps the guitar's sound/tone for that reason. Does the GT6 also convert the unbalanced line to a balanced line? Or would I still benefit, tone wise, running into a DI before I go into the mixer. If so, would the best chain be guitar-GT6-DI-mixer, or do you DI before going into the GT6? Come to think of it, I once played a gig way above my paygrade, and the FOH guy DIed me after the GT6, so thats obviously how its done - but would be grateful if someone could just explain the theory/mechanics clearly to me! ?
