Not really the best platform for modding and hotrodding, IMO. Pickup replacement, fine - just keep the old ones to put back in when you sell it.

Another thing that perplexed me, is that it seems to be a floating bridge, but it doesn't move at all. It's got the springs in the back, but i really can't get it to budge...
IIRC, It's a synchronised trem, not a floating - 6 screws in front of the bridge? They are not for action adjustment, they are to stop the bridge moving forwards. The pivot point is the edge on the body rather than against the screws. If you've tightened those screws down, the bridge won't move.
You adjust the two hex keys on each saddle to raise or lower the individual saddles for action or radius setting.
