There's general two rules about buying guitars:
- Secondhand almost always gives you more guitar for your money.
- Whatever feels best in your hands is the one you want.
At that price range brand is less important - usually I'd cite the ibby > Cort for resale $. But again, go for what feels best in your hands (and sounds good to your ears).
If you are dreaming for a decent steel acoustic, check out the baby taylor, there's some floating around 2nd hand, worth stretching the budget for.
