heheheh yeah but guitars can't keep you warm at night among other things.... and hey they just pieces of wood with strings nailed to them hehheehh tools of the trade..... does a plummer sleep with his wrench heheheh his wench maybe ..... sorry boys but i had to say this.... Didn't you have one single Ibanez guitar when you joined here (only about a year or so ago)? You're becoming a regular poster boy for GAS (although you'll have to go a ways to push out the current titleholder, MoJo JoJoe).

So the question has to be asked: Which are your favourites and why? How do you see your collection changing - which guitars are going to be upgraded for better versions of the same thing?

You could get some nice wall hooks and a double bed...that would accommodate both guitars and girlfriend...you might even hang the guitars on the hooks on occassion....(now I'm running for cover ?)

I am going to simplify my collection to my 3 favourites :

Ibanez RGA Prestige (with Dimarzio's)
Baja Tele (of course no upgrades ever needed)
Jap Strat (Kinman woodstocks, thinking about putting in a Pearly Gates in the bridge)

I will be selling the rest, and I have given my Mexican to my Dad. (He always wanted a Fender , but never got to buying one)

In terms of GAS poster boy, I think others like Aubs and Mojo , destroy my collection....
They have big toys, amps , PRS 's etc ? ,

My life is complicated enough with two guitars, though I rationalise things by justifying the Taylor as a "braai" guitar (relax!... it's a Big Baby, about the cheapest Taylor you can get, and I bought it second hand). When the third arrives I will have too many decisions to make.

Ive come to the conclusion that one only needs 2 Guitars, 3 at max... (electric guitars for my needs)

Thats why Im simplifying my collection

Hey guys, a bit of trivia.... I used to work at an ad agency and had a boss who collected Italian cars, Alfas and he had a Ferrari. Someone stuck a sticker on
the Ferrari bumper that read:" The diffs between men and boys, are the price of their toys", or something like that.
The next day he came with the sticker replaced which read: "He who dies with the most toys, Wins". You get the point.
We collect because its' there to be collected!!! Ha ha ha. Does it make us better guitarists.....NOOOOOO!

Depends on what you are doing. As a live performer, two or three is fine (acoustic, single-coil electric and humbucker electric). In a home studio you need a representative range to cover the sounds you want to get (5 - 10 guitars). More than that and you're either a pro studio or a collector.
