V's sell, so who's buying?

Jackson, ESP, Dean… Dave Mustaine's had more than a fair share of signature guitars over the years, and sold them too. Now he's followed the Flying V scent back to the source and signed with Gibson, with the dramatic teaser above surely proceeding an imminent signature model.

Are Megadeth/Metallica/Slayer/Pantera - 80's/90's metal bands still relevant? I suppose a largemajorityy of the fansbase are somewhere between 35-55, so that's the $$$'s I guess?'

I'm not a flying V fan at all - I find them well uncomfortable to play. I would have a legit Warlock (super rare) or a Dean ML (Dimebag ftw!)...aaaaand that's my question answered 🤦

I reckon Dave's V's will sell better than Peace then...

I quite fancy V guitars. Wouldnt own one though. Agree theyre properly uncomfortable. Or at least, they are if sitting.
Curiously the one that got my attention was always the Gibson shaped one. Specifically the one that Kravitz played on "are you gonna go my way"

Never did like the Rhodes V. The King V was cool. Guess i like symmetry eh

+1 - I did prefer the rounded edges on that one (works in white?). I did like the RR shapes, but I cannot play them. There's some gene missing in my genome that makes them playable for me I reckon 😅

I know I go on about the Warlock shape...but I don't think I'd actually have another. I think the only 'metal' shape I'd try is the Explorer/ML/Kelly style -they're really comfy to play - that surprised me.

The new models are looking good. And its a plus for Kramer guitars too
