Finally found the March Edition of "Guitarist"
Has some interesting features:
Interviews with John Frusciante and Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal.
review of the Gibson Dark Fire, couple of new Suhr's etc
Video Stuff:
Some Celtic Acoustic with Clive Carrol, he can play a bit!
Some Larry Carlton bending techniques.
It's very lekker and I can go to the loo again.

My wife is laughing at me now - I have a stack of mags waiting for when I have time to read again. I just dived and delved through the depths, looking for last month's Guitarist to read the Bumblefoot interview.
My wife thinks it's funny that I find out what's in the mags by reading Internet forums. Can't say I blame her.
BTW, I got BBF's new Barefoot CD (acoustic) last week and quite enjoying it. Interesting which songs hold up unplugged. Some hair-raising technique, off-kilter humour and great melodies as usual.

Alan - I've picked up that you've got some special connection to Bumblefoot.
Do I infer correctly?

Kind of. I was searching for worthy "new breed" players to include in my last book alongside the old faves like Hendrix. BBF was one of the few that really impressed me so I did a write up on him (alongside Mattias Eklundh and Tom Morello). We needed some pics, so I got in touch and we got on quite well. That was before he got the GnR gig. We're both busy now, but occasionally exchange emails.
