"Beat the crappy pop song" challenge

So my sisters dedicated this song to me and the lyrics are pretty sweet but the song is rubbish pop full of auto tune.

So they challenged me to find a better song with the same sort of words.

Who wants to help prove pop sucks? I'm thinking some golden oldies should do the trick.

I definitely had no idea the lyrics were so ridiculous ? We should do another challenge purely for ridiculous lyrics!

Based on Claudio's interpretation and the first entry, it turns out my challenge wasn't clear ?

The idea is to find a good song (that isn't pop - because pop sucks) that has similar lyrics.

My first thought is "He ain't heavy, he's my brother"

Guilty as charged!. Two others that came to mind were "Lean on me" 0 BIll Withers and "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" by The Hollies.

I'll err on the side of the magic duo of Edwards and Rodgers (Chic's bassist & guitarist wrote stuff for Sister Sledge, Duran Duran, Bowie,, Inxs)n n more)
