I've been lurking here for some time and finally decided it was time to get in. I live in Johannesburg, spent 7 years in Cape Town in the seventies.
I play Rock, Blues and Quite a variety of other stuff that I like. I am a "Tone Freak" .
My Gear:
'94 Fender USA Standard Strat, with Hipshot Tremsetter, with 9-42 Elixir Nanoweb.
Fender USA S-1 Telecaster with 9-42 Elixir Nanoweb.
Ibanez JS1000 BLB with 9-42 D'Addario EXL 120
Gibson LP Standard with 9-42 Gibson Vintage Re-issue.
'94 PRS Custom 24 with Birds, with 9-42 Elixir Nanoweb.
2007 PRS Standard 24 with Moons, with 9-42 Elixir Nanoweb.
Ovation, elec/acoustic, even though I do not play much Acoustic.
Takamine 12 string elec/acoustic.
Marshall AVT 275, and
Marshall JVM 210H, with 1960A cab.
A variety of Boss Effects pedals.

I've signed up about a week ago, and the more I read through all the posts etc. I notice something really incredible!
It seems like everyone knows everyone else like on a personal level! I have never experienced anything like it. This
is truly awesome, perhaps only musos can really bond at such a level. Glad I joined. Just an observation.
