ooooh BOB nice very nice... way too ornate for me...... i would get him to build me one with same design .... and looooove those trad peg tuners..... but just with about 80% less decrotive work on it hehehhehe i don't mind a bit like the aria has but this is just over the top.... but hey isn't it a gorgeous guitar though .... and the price well.... i never really liked my house anyway hehehhehehe i guess i could put it on the market and place my order ..... what the hell get a back up one too.....
but in reality would i even condone spending that much money on a guitar .... i doubt it..... i'm a gypsy busker at heart so i'm more than happy with an instrument that stays in tune and feels ad sounds good....which i already have .... i always look at it that an instrument is part of my biz, if it will pay itself back in 6 months thats great if not it's a bad biz move ...so a R15k instrument is acceptable but never a R60k one....
look up a luthier louis panorma he's my favorite luthier from 184o's ....romantic guitars and as i said in an earlier post the aria which started this thread ..is a copy iof his work..... which makes me want one even more hehehhe but I DO WANT TO HEAR IT FIRST....

Hey Keira!
Did they ever get back to you with price and availability on this beauty? It's at the back of my mind, nagging me.

not yet alan, my man called them and the local agents said they had no such model... then he checked on internet and said he would get back to them and so far no joy.....
although in interim i have played on and actually really like an aria spanish built flamenco guitar (no pickup though ) they have in at marshall music ...@ R8000 but i can get it for a mere R4300 thanks to my patronage there... it's very tempting...very tempting indeed....
the guitar has incredible volume and that typical flamenco tone and attack.... (more edgy than the classicals) but i want to take my current guitar in to A/B it cos if it does not better my excisting guitar there's no point.... and i must be honest i find few nylons (that are sub R25000) that rival mine for my needs.... i definitely have a sweet sounding one outa the batch.... anyway i'm not affluent enought to spend R4300 (and then a few grand to fit a pickup) to just have another similar sounding guitar ...... although the 19C with it's baroque look and short scale is worth spending on ..... so i'm waiting to see what happens....
but seeing the aria flamenco and liking it's tone and build quality gives me an indication that the 19C will be a well built and nice sounding guitar ...wether it's what i want 100% only a live demo will tell.....

Tradelius are the local distributors, they sometimes have to be pushed on some things to get them to deliver - I once waited 18 months for a set of free-floating tom-tom mounts for my Pearl drum kit. I was told 3-8 weeks, but they forgot to order, then they ordered the wrong things, then they forgot to order them again, then they lost them. I'm told they are much better with such things now, but I used to dread ordering or even enquiring about anything unusual from them.
I'm thinking maybe I should enquire about them anyway - maybe if they get enough enquiries from different sources, they'll decide it'll be worth getting a few into stock and we'll be able to ask our favourite retailers to get one in stock for us to try out before buying.

ello i think it was an AC then a number i'm no sure of .. and an F for flamenco.... can't be more specific... i see on website they have a list of ones in the flamenco range... best if phone marshall music an ask what the flamenco guitar was? but it was spanish built .... not eastern built which caught my eye... but not handbuilt.... tho ....
