No, (without sounding soppy), my grandfather passed away last year, and I inherited some money. He was the one that tought me to play when I was 12. Haven't stopped since ?
I also inherited his accoustic that he got for his 16th birthday, which is now 64 years old. He bought it over from Holland when they immigrated to SA 60 years ago. That guitar is scratchless. Its currently at Andy Mcgibbon for a service. I'll put some pics on when I get it back.. Its a beaut.
Interestingly enough, my grandfather built an electric guitar when he was in highschool. Everything (and I mean everything including the pick ups) is hand made. He carved the neck out of a single piece of wood with a potato pealer...
