I got one of these last week. They seem to be well made, the padding is nice and the plastic seems to be decent. The "lock" doesn't have a real key, it just takes a hex wrench, but it does come with a plastic hex key. It fits my strat-shaped guitar very well. My Epi Lp doesn't fit that nicely, so I would only recommended for stratty-type guitars
