Name's Spyke, from Jozi...
Total newbie - to the forum that is (and those who see me play think the same about my playing...). Liking what i see so far, nice to have a local forum like this.
Goofing around in a 'band' at the moment - punk / alt rock type stuff - nothing serious yet.
I play a rhythm / lead on Squire Strat through a lowly Zoom505II running to a Leem GA-8240RC at the moment.
My other kit consists of a Yamaha FX-350 Semi and an Aria acoustic...
I'll post some pics at a later stage - as soon as i take them.

For the first time I've read reviews on the GA8240 and... well, they're not favourable.
Oh well, i shall do my best to rectify that situation. hehehe!
I've been playing on it for more than 9 years now and i haven't had a major issue with it. Granted it does cut every now and then but that's quickly rectified with a swift boot to the casing! ;D
Guess you can't win them all... ?

Feel free to post a vid of you playing it -- you could get some valuable advice from some of the guys here on what to change (in your gear) to improve your sound!
