From touring with Satriani, opening for Bruce Springsteen, #1 albums on the Blues/Rock international charts, numerous articles and awards in international guitarist publications to hosting guitar weekend clinics in South Africa, Dan waves the blues/rock flag high and proud!

I'll admit to not having seen this fellow in action. But I'll be rectifying that as soon as I can. He's got a real handle on feel and tone, particularly on a strat - really, really impressed - the guy can play, sing and write.

He's got shows coming up this winter in SA, check 'em out here : http://danpatlansky.com/shows

Dan talks about his latest album (interview) :

while he certainly is an exceptional talent on a guitar, i wish he would mix it up a bit.. not everything has to be played at a volume level of 13 and most of the stuff he plays is identical to the song before...

Dan is not only a great guy, but a brilliant guitarist as well and that is why he is personally endorsed by Fender. Last year 2017, I emailed him for some advice about my Fender Strat setup. I had to wait a few days as he was in the UK at the time, and as soon as he returned to SA, he immediately emailed me with a wealth of wonderful information and advice. This guy scores 10 out of 10 in my book. Will be definitely be seeing him when he comes to Knysna this year in July.

Got me some tix to see Dan here in London in April. Used to go to Dans fender weekends back in the day and would go to see Dan whenever possible. One gig at the now defunct Tanz cafe had me in tears he was that good.

( I am in that YouTube clip about the weekend above btw)

Dan is a world class bluesman and yet he battles to get the same recognition as a Bonamassa which is a shame. Case in point. I am seeing Dan for 22 quid, Joe is playing royal Albert hall for 75 quid.

I see Dan playing a gig this weekend with Albert, Ross Harding, black cat bones etc. you guys should go to these gigs.

btw , Ross Harding moving to my town next month.

Watched Dan last night, down in Camden. Which is the bohemian centre of London these days. Whole of Camden was heaving with folks what with the warm weather and all. Got there a bit early and browsed the markets, had a pre gig ale or 2. Wife browsed the shops and markets. Had some street food. A nice vibe all round.

Dan is an absolute giant in the blues world. Incredible. After the gig I went to the merch stand as I knew he would be signing stuff. Now, I went to a couple of fender weekends back in the day out in Clarens. And whilst still living in ZA I met Dan once or twice. When It was my turn he looked at me and said " i know you"… even after all these years he recognised me. Man, i was humbled.

another anecdote. I was meant to see Dan in 2018. On the day of the gig I could not find my ticket, and this being pre e-tickets I could not replace it so missed the gig to much anguish. Lo and behold I found it about a year ago. So of course I had to have it autographed.
