I personally have no issue with it, its a pretty looking guitar. and I'm sure it will be a good playing guitar too..

But think the Issue most people have is, PRS is a well established brand, did they really need to copy an iconic designed guitar that has been copied to death.

StephenG

they did a crappy job of trying to copy the fender headstock... they need to try again.

That's the best part... No Hockey stick headstock ?

But you're right... Should be more like Ibanez ?

StephenG

NorioDS hockey stick headstock!!!!!!!!!!! OMG the blasphemy!!

you take that back or i will poke out your eyes and beat you to death with your ibby headstock.

but seriously, if you openly admit that your intention was to copy a 63/64 strat, then go all in.. dont do it half-arsed.

Tuckstir

I'm Kinda glad they didn't put that fugly hockey stick head-stock on.. that they still kept it their own..

Ewww.

Looks like we're the only sane ones left, @Tuckstir ?

NorioDS

You can't beat someone to death with an Ibanez headstock. They're pointy so... unlike Fender... it gets the job done, first time ?

StephenG

NorioDS Dunning-Kruger effect in play here..

NorioDS

StephenG Yep, with all the Fender headstock lovers ?

Tuckstir

the other big change to the head-stock besides the shape. is the setback angle.. it has a set back angle unlike fenders flat head-stock that needs string trees.

and the truss rod cover is nice feature..

StephenG

NorioDS thems is fighting words... I challenge you Sir, to a duel !

NorioDS

StephenG well if you're talking a guitar duel then I'm in ?

We haven't done that yet and it could be epic.

Lower has to record a video saying the winner's favourite headstock is the best headstock there is, was or ever will be ?

I'm down for a little public humiliation. You?

StephenG

NorioDS sorry.. but the stakes are a bit to rich for my blood.. Im out!!

I was kinda hoping you would back down first and all..

Poor choice of headstock aside, and price aside, looks like a nice guitar. Now if someone here will please buy one to share with us, so we can come audition it to death, to see if the head does sound bad?

I'll get one, just to try out.
My PRS John Mayer signature series silver sky crowd fund is now open.. please dont be shy this is for a good cause

I'm a bit disappointed with this "design" by PRS. They could have at least done something more original with the body as well. They could still have done the control positions and the pup/control configuration and electronics the way it is done on a strat, so that the guy can get the tone he wants. But anyone can go buy a Squier and some PRS SE, mutilate it by removing the headstocks and switching them around, to get this.

Jigg... the colour as well is blech.

Being that pointy you could probably stab them to death....
