Hey all. I have a Tokai SG88 begging for a case. Hopefully I can find an original Tokai (read: paisley) case, but I'm willing to look at generics as well.
Let me know if you have anything lyin' around, preferably Jhb North.
Many thanks dh|
Tuckstir HAHAHAHA. I had the exact same video in mind! Even attempting my own as a result, but for acoustic - disaster!
Thanks man - and an interesting watch! But too much like hard work. This is to make sure shipping for a sale doesn’t go awry...
pleasure, if its for a sale, yeah maybe not till some practice cases have been made lol..
Tuckstir And some Xmas bonuses have come in. Need me some new gear - and it ain’t all guitar gear.
You is evil dh|
domhatch I have never had a Xmas bonus. ?
wern101
oh, must make a whole thread for discussion about.... with loads of pictures..
wern101 I used to work in banking. Performance-related incentives were the thing.
Now I work in advertising... ?
Tuckstir erm...no. it really is a disaster. Wrong materials, wrong design, wrong tools.... ugh. Its firewood now. Gonna try a proper one later.
wern101 pics. or it never happened. disaster or not...

I want to try it, using a stiff board for the back and top, and using the board and a balsa laminate, instead of the ply and wood that they used in the video
sorry for the highjack domhatch
domhatch Yoh... I am warning you.... it aint pretty!! I'll call it a 'test phase' case. Fail #1. Will upload pics...
Ok domhatch Here it is. The guitar coffin... (insert face palm here)
It really is a disaster. Way too heavy and just...well...ugly. Obviously not done yet, but still considering if I am gonna finish it. Probably gonna be fire wood.
Tuckstir no worries; took a turn for the far more interesting anyway! ?
looks like it weights a ton...
builders as sheets of 3 or 4 mm ply.. would do better for the top and sides.. then just need some stiffener angles around the joints.. wouldn't be so heavy..
but good first attempt..
