It did and didn't...I was going to head into bothners sometime to give it a run (I still will), but my mate brought his into the gear junkie and I was there. I didn't get to spend much time playing it (about 3mins) because my mate was being a a real PITA and grabbing the guitar every 30s to 'demo'.
But I did get to listen to it at all volumes and wattage settings in a room I know fairly well. I've tried a good few amps there (Mesa 5:25, a couple twin reverbs, marshall stacks, vox AC30's, etc...) - so I have something for comparison.
1st impression is that it's REALLY good...for the money. 1/6 of the $ of a Mesa 5:25 and it gets about 80-90% of the huge tone that Mesa somehow gets out of that small 5:25 combo is impressive - ultimately the Mesa filled the room better but it's not a big difference.
Bear in mind it still falls victim to SS watss not equating to valve watts - 50W katana would lose in a volume war with a 15W Laney cub 12 (2x12 head + cab). There's a reason Kemper's come with 600W power amps - to compete with 100W 4x12 1/2 stacks!
But for most of us, it's a killer price for a very usable amp. And I didn't get to play around with the FX - which is the icing on a pretty good cake!
